The Community Children's Nurse is responsible for providing skilled nursing care for sick children in their own homes or other suitable venues that would otherwise be performed in an acute hospital setting. They are also responsible for the effective assessing, planning implementation, delivery and evaluation of individualised nursing care to children as required and under the direction of the Team Lead. The Nurse is expected to work with minimal supervision and will be designated to take charge and work as a lone worker within the community on a regular basis. The Nurse will provide care at home without supervision to facilitate the prevention of admission or reduction in hospitalisation.
