We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day delivery of Soft FM services, including portering, linen and waste.
This role ensures all services operate smoothly, consistently and in line with agreed KPIs, SLAs and operational procedures while maintaining full compliance with legislative requirements.
Job Description
We are looking for a confident leader who can build strong relationships, support continuous improvement and ensure teams are fully trained and motivated to exceed performance targets.
Working within defined financial parameters, you will also be responsible for stakeholder management and the ongoing development of a high-quality Soft FM service provision.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and support Soft FM teams to deliver safe, efficient and high-quality services.
Build and maintain strong relationships with staff, clients and subcontractors.
Set objectives, monitor performance targets and support delivery of business plans.
Recruit, train and develop operatives and supervisors to meet service needs.
Maintain proactive communication with clients and stakeholders, including regular documented meetings.
Drive productivity, continuous improvement and assess the impact of operational changes.
Gather and analyse data to inform decision-making and support service improvements.
Identify cost efficiencies, support profitability and manage resources, stock and waste effectively.
Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications
Proven experience in a similar Facilities Management role within a healthcare environment.
Demonstrable people management experience within a hospital or healthcare setting.
Strong track record of leading and developing teams across multiple staff grades.
Skilled in client liaison, relationship management and negotiation.
Proactive problem-solver with strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Strong numeracy skills with experience managing budgets and a Profit & Loss account.
Competent user of Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel.
Confident in producing reports and analysing complex data to identify challenges and opportunities.
IOSH Managing Safely qualification (or minimum Level 3 Health & Safety qualification).
