    • Carry out regular health and safety checks and risk assessments.

    • Report damaged equipment or safety concerns immediately to senior staff.

    • Ensure full compliance with safeguarding, health & safety, and nursery policies at all times.

      Leadership & Operational Responsibilities
      • Lead, supervise, and support staff within your room on a daily basis.

      • Delegate tasks effectively and ensure high standards of practice across the team.

      • Support the opening and closing of the nursery, ensuring security procedures are followed.

      • Support students and apprentices with training and development.

      • Contribute to achieving and maintaining a minimum “Good” Ofsted rating.

      • Attend staff meetings, training sessions, parents’ evenings, and nursery events.

      • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.

      • Support wider nursery operations, including practical and domestic duties when required.

        Professional Development

        • Reflect on personal practice and identify areas for development.

        • Engage in ongoing training and professional learning.

        • Stay up to date with EYFS guidance, safeguarding updates, and nursery policies.
