Role Overview
We are seeking compassionate and reliable Support Workers to join our growing care agency in Newport. As a dedicated Support Worker, you will play a vital role in making a real difference in the lives of our clients, providing them with the care and support they need to maintain their independence and well-being.
Key Responsibilities
Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal care and household tasks, using a person-centred approach to support their individual needs
Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, helping to reduce feelings of loneliness and isolation
Support clients in community activities and appointments, promoting their social inclusion and participation
Safely assist clients with mobility using Moving & Handling techniques, ensuring their safety and dignity at all times
Help clients to maintain their independence and well-being, supporting them to achieve their goals and aspirations
Required Skills & Experience
At least 6 months UK-based experience in care and support work, preferably in a similar role or setting
A practical manual handling certificate
A caring, patient, and reliable attitude, with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality care and support
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients, colleagues, and other stakeholders
Ability to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends, to meet the needs of our clients
