Personal Assistant / Complex Care Support Worker – Lambeth – £13.50–£17ph – Immediate Start Available
Location: Lambeth, South London
Applicants must currently live in London and be able to commute reliably to Lambeth for shifts.

I am a 33-year-old man living in Lambeth with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD), a progressive neurological physical disability. I am seeking a reliable and safety-focused Personal Assistant / Support Worker to join my established complex care team and support my independence.

Key Priority: Hoist & Safe Manual Handling (Essential)
Confident and competent use of a hoist and safe manual handling is essential. Moving and handling safety is my top priority.

Responsibilities Include:
• Personal care and daily living support
• Hoist transfers and safe manual handling
• PEG feeding
• Non-invasive ventilator support
• Suction and cough assist
• Positioning and pressure care
• Meal preparation
• Attending appointments and social activities
Full training will be provided for complex care tasks.

Essential:
• Experience as a Personal Assistant, Support Worker or Carer
• Confident with hoist transfers and manual handling
• Reliable, punctual and trustworthy
• Calm, patient and safety-focused
• Willingness to follow structured care routines

Desirable (Not Essential):
• Experience in complex care
• Experience supporting neurological or physical disability
• Experience with PEG, ventilator support or suction
• Background in nursing, physiotherapy or healthcare studies

Hours:
16–40 hours per week available.
Flexible rota including weekdays and weekends.
Bank / relief shifts also available.

Pay:
Weekdays: £13.50–£15 per hour
Weekends: £15–£17 per hour
Pay dependent on experience, training and demonstrated competency.
Pay progression structure:
• Entry rate: £13.50–£14
• After hoist and care competency sign-off: £15
• Advanced / experienced carers: £16–£17
• Weekend premium: +£1–£2 per hour
