Are you looking for a new Buyer role in the Droitwich area?
We have a new opportunity for an experienced Buyer to join a successful manufacturing company. The role involves sourcing and purchasing raw materials from UK and international suppliers.
Main responsibilities include:
Acting as a key contact in the Purchasing team, buying items ranging from small components to castings and raw materials
Working from technical drawings
Sourcing and developing new suppliers
Identifying and reporting cost savings
Managing lead times and updating the ERP system
Managing the MRP system
Working closely with the shopfloor manager and technical team when required
Providing cover for other Purchasing team members during holidays
The ideal candidate will:
Have previous purchasing experience in a busy manufacturing environment
Be able to work from technical drawings
Be confident buying a wide range of materials and components
Have strong communication skills
Be computer literate with good attention to detail
Hold a CIPS qualification (desirable but not essential)
Working hours:
Monday to Thursday: 8:15am – 4:45pm
Friday: 8:15am – 3:30pm
Salary:
Up to £30,000
