A brand-new luxury care home in York, is opening in Spring 2026, and we are looking for a compassionate and experienced Deputy Manager to join the leadership team. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a new service from the very beginning.

About the Role
As Deputy Manager, you will support the Registered Manager in the day-to-day running of the home and take full responsibility in their absence. You will uphold the values of dignity, independence, privacy, choice, rights, and fulfilment for all residents.Key responsibilities include:
• Supporting the Registered Manager to ensure full compliance with health and safety and care standards
• Conducting care reviews with residents and families
• Assisting with quality assurance, audits, systems, and procedures
• Leading and motivating the care team, promoting high standards of care
• Sharing on-call duties with the management team
• Overseeing daily documentation, rotas, and staff meetings
• Communicating effectively with residents, relatives, staff, and external professionals
• Training, inducting, and supervising staff
About You
• Flexible, caring, and compassionate
• Positive, self-motivated, and well organised
• Able to work both independently and as part of a team
• A strong communicator
• Professional and confident in supporting and guiding junior colleagues
• Willing to undertake any necessary training
• Experience in a Deputy or Registered Manager position is preferred; however, experienced Senior Care Assistants with the right attitude and leadership qualities will also be considered.
