An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the therapy team at Tudor Court as a therapy assistant. Therapy is provided to any resident in Rochdale, Heywood and Middleton who requires a period of rehabilitation.
• To provide assessments and interventions, for delegated caseload of patients; with support and supervision of a qualified therapist.
• To undertake administrative and stock control duties as requested to support the therapy services.
• Attend and effectively contribute to regular meetings, including:• Monthly speciality team meetings
• Monthly staff meetings
• Peer support meetings
• Ward handover meetings
• Champions update meeting
• Promote a positive and efficient image of the service within own and wider team
• Provide effective advice, information and support for patients and carers
• Ensure staff, patients and carers are aware of the role of therapy within own speciality area
• Overcome barriers to communication by altering style and format
• Involve patients in decision making with regards assessments and always gain informed consent
• Have a sound knowledge of specialist standardised and non-standardised assessments used within the service
• Undertake simple assessments as delegated by qualified therapist
• Demonstrate a good knowledge of medical conditions in own speciality area and how they affect day to day function
• Ensures joint treatment planning considers individual patient choice/wishes/beliefs
• Ensures assessments undertaken are holistic and meet standards
• Provide effective feedback of assessment findings to patient and carer
• Provide effective feedback of assessment findings to qualified therapists and wider MDT team

Changes to the UK immigration policy introduced on the 9th April 2025, increased the minimum salary threshold for certificates of sponsorship applications for Health and Care Worker Visa from £23,200 (£11.90 per hour) to £25,000 (£12.82 per hour). As per Agenda for Change, if you are new to the NHS your starting salary would be £24,937 (minimum Band 3 salary point from 1st April 2025 in line with National Living Wage requirements).
