I’m recruiting for a growing energy and heat network operator looking to add a Commercial Plant Breakdown Engineer to their field team.
This role suits someone strong mechanically in plant rooms who wants to step into commercial gas over time with proper support and training.
The role
- Attending breakdowns across commercial plant rooms
- Mechanical PPMs and reactive works
- Fault-finding on pumps, valves, heat exchangers and pipework
- Supporting heat network sites and energy centres
- On-call rota (approx. 1 in 4)
What they’re looking for
- 2+ years’ experience in commercial plant rooms
- Mechanical background (pumps, valves, plate heat exchangers)
- Comfortable fault-finding under pressure
- Willing to work towards Commercial Gas qualifications
- Able to read P&IDs
- Full UK driving licence
