Climate17 is partnering with a well-established renewable energy services business to appoint a Business Development Manager into its growing UK Asset Management function.
This is a senior-facing commercial role focused on driving growth, securing new Asset Management contracts, and helping shape new service offerings across a mature and well-regarded platform. The position has been created due to continued UK growth and offers exposure across both existing and new clients.
The role
You’ll play a key role in expanding the Asset Management portfolio, combining strategic account development with proactive new business activity. Working closely with Asset Management, Marketing, Legal and Group Business Development colleagues, you’ll help define how the business grows its service offering in the UK market.
Key responsibilities include
- Proactively identifying and securing new business opportunities with existing and prospective clients
- Leading external engagement through face-to-face meetings and digital channels
- Building and maintaining deep knowledge of Asset Management services and commercial opportunities
- Working with Marketing to enhance market visibility and support growth initiatives
- Developing bid / no-bid frameworks and pricing models to support future opportunities
- Creating and maintaining a strong, well-qualified pipeline across Asset Management services
- Collaborating with wider Group Business Development teams to share insight and expand reach
- Supporting the preparation of tender and bid documentation
- Maintaining accurate records of development activity and pipeline data
- Supporting contract negotiations alongside in-house legal teams
- Monitoring UK market dynamics, competitor activity and commercial benchmarks
What we’re looking for:
- Proven experience in business development or commercial roles within renewables or Asset Management
- A demonstrable track record of securing Asset Management contracts with external customers
- Strong understanding of how Asset Management services are structured, sold and delivered
- Highly organised, able to manage multiple workstreams and stakeholders simultaneously
- Commercially astute, with the ability to analyse market data and translate insight into action
- Confident communicator, comfortable presenting and engaging at senior level
- Collaborative mindset, with the flexibility to support colleagues across functions
- Eligibility to work in the UK
