What skills and experience we're looking for

Truro and Penwith Academy Trust, together with Helston Community College, are seeking to appoint a dynamic and inspiring Curriculum Lead for Computer Science. The role will lead our Computer Science curriculum, teaching and assessment across our 8 Secondary Schools. This role will be based at Helston Community College, an 11-18 academy with a thriving sixth form. The successful applicant will have the opportunity to teach across Key Stages 3, 4 and 5, as well as leading our team of Computing, Business and Enterprise teachers to provide an innovative and engaging curriculum for pupils. TPAT is the largest Multi Academy Trust in Cornwall: our secondary academies are clustered in West and Mid Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly. TPAT and Helston Community College offer excellent facilities and a supportive, caring and committed team of colleagues. Our strength lies in our ethos of high standards, collaboration and inclusion. About You:

You will have a child-centered approach, and will provide a creative, inclusive and challenging curriculum which inspires and motivates pupils and supports high quality teaching and learning. You will have had some experience of building effective and cohesive teams and will be a skilled communicator. Ideally, you will have experience of coaching and curriculum design. Individuals must demonstrate their readiness and enthusiasm for leading curriculum design and delivery.
