About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Site Supervisor to manage day-to-day site operations on a Thames Water project in Haslemere. You will be responsible for ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently and to the required quality standards, while maintaining compliance with all client, statutory and site requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Site Management & Leadership
- Supervise and coordinate daily site activities in line with the project programme
- Lead and manage site operatives, subcontractors and specialist teams
- Act as the main on-site point of contact for the client and project team
Health, Safety & Environmental
- Promote a strong safety-first culture on site
- Ensure compliance with CDM regulations and site HSEQ procedures
- Deliver site inductions, toolbox talks and daily briefings
- Ensure RAMS, permits and method statements are in place and followed
Project Delivery
- Ensure works are carried out in accordance with drawings, specifications and Thames Water standards
- Monitor quality and productivity, addressing issues promptly
- Maintain accurate site records including diaries, inspections and progress reports
Communication & Coordination
- Liaise with engineers, project managers and planners to maintain programme and resolve issues
- Communicate effectively with Thames Water representatives and other stakeholders
Candidate Requirements
Essential
- Proven experience as a Site Supervisor within civil engineering, utilities or water infrastructure
- Strong knowledge of health, safety and environmental best practice
- Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications and RAMS
- Good leadership, organisational and communication skills
- Full UK driving licence
Desirable
- SSSTS or SMSTS
- CSCS card relevant to the role
- EUSR Water Hygiene / SHEA Water
- NRSWA Supervisor qualification
- Previous experience working on Thames Water or similar water authority projects
Salary & Benefits
- £40,000 - £45,000 per annum, depending on experience
