Join our Urology team at The Royal Oldham Hospital including sessions at Rochdale Infirmary and play a key role in delivering high-quality care for elective and emergency patients. You will work independently with consultant support, managing complex cases and contributing to service development. Applicants must hold GMC registration with a licence to practise and have at least four years’ postgraduate experience, including two years in Urology.

We are looking for an experienced doctor to join our Urology team. You will provide high-quality care for elective and emergency patients, working independently with consultant support. This is an opportunity to develop your skills in a busy, forward-thinking department that delivers a comprehensive urology service across Greater Manchester.

The service supports a population of approximately 800,000 and provides most subspeciality work for this population. The NCA Urology service is working towards an integrated single service based on two hubs at The Royal Oldham Hospital (NCA East) and Salford Royal (NCA West).We offer access to advanced technology, including Holmium and Moses lasers, full laparoscopic facilities, and modern theatres. You’ll benefit from protected SPA time for CPD, opportunities for teaching, and strong links with The Christie Hospital.

Provide day-to-day care for elective and emergency urology patients

Participate in outpatient clinics, operating lists, and MDT meetings

Contribute to audit, research, and service development

Support training for junior doctors and medical students

Engage in annual job planning and appraisal
