Summary

Central Recruitment is currently hiring for a Progression Coach to work across seven West London boroughs, providing floating support to people with a history of rough sleeping to help them sustain tenancies and develop independent living skills.

- £15.88 per hour (£14.17 per hour, with £1.71 holiday pay)
- Hours: 37.5 hours per week
- Shifts: Monday – Friday, 09:00 - 17:00 and 10:00 - 18:00 (flexible start/finish times; occasional work outside these hours required)
- Location: West London (working across Brent, Ealing, Hammersmith & Fulham, Harrow, Hillingdon, Hounslow and Kensington & Chelsea)
- Temp: approx. 2 months

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular key working sessions with a caseload of 15-20 low-medium need clients
- Complete ongoing risk and needs assessments
- Assess referrals
- Support move-on and independent living
- Provide post-move-in tenancy support
- Support with benefits, budgeting and bill payments
- Liaise and advocate with outside agencies
- Manage service charges and petty cash
- Manage challenging behaviour and record incidents
- Maintain health, safety, and a secure environment

What we’re looking for:
- Experience in homelessness or residential housing services
- Understanding of youth homelessness causes and impacts
- Experience in a floating support setting
- Caseload management, support planning, and risk/needs assessments
- Knowledge of housing management and benefits systems
- Strong understanding of safeguarding and professional boundaries
- Knowledge of young people’s support needs and available services
- Good IT skills
- Ability to take initiative and a willingness to work

Please note; this role involves meeting with service users in the community and their homes across West London and working from the Head Office (Southwark). There is flexibility to occasionally work from home.

Further requirements:

In order to register with Central Recruitment Services for temporary agency work, candidates must meet the following criteria:

- Current valid right to work in the UK
- Minimum 12 months’ of paid experience in a front line social care role within the last 3 years* (unless recruitment criteria states otherwise)
- A fully enhanced DBS either registered on the DBS update service or issued within the last 12 months, or willingness to apply for one through Central (at a cost of £60)
- Employment or education history to cover the last 5 years which can be verified through the referencing process
