Central Recruitment is currently hiring a Team Manager to work in the Ilford area at a supported housing service providing support to clients with complex needs and a history of rough sleeping.
• 36 hours per week
• Monday - Friday
• Shifts: 09:00 - 17:00 (occasional out of hours work required)
• Cover required for 3 month (possibility of extension)
• £22.90 per hour (£19.99 per hour, with £2.91 holiday pay)
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead and support Complex Needs Support Workers to deliver a high-quality, consistent service
• Support service development for rough sleepers alongside the Service Manager
• Ensure staff training, supervision, and performance through effective induction and regular meetings
• Oversee person-centred support plans, key working, and ongoing risk and safeguarding assessments
• Approve move-on decisions, prevention payments, and discretionary support where appropriate
• Drive continuous service improvement
• Maintain strong partnerships with Council services and external stakeholders
• Ensure effective delivery of advice, outreach, and customer engagement services
• Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and professional standards
• Maintain team health and safety compliance
What we’re looking for:
• Experience in staff and service management, meeting KPIs and departmental objectives
• Strong understanding of homelessness, substance misuse and complex trauma, with the ability to motivate clients at different stages of change
• Knowledge of housing management, including licence agreements and non-secured tenancies
• Experience with budget setting, expenditure monitoring and report writing
• Strong networking and partnership-working skills with internal and external stakeholders
• Understanding of Recovery and Psychologically Informed Environments and ability to apply these in practice
• Experience delivering outcome-focused group work to support access to and sustain ETE opportunities
• Proven ability to manage competing priorities in a pressurised environment
• Experience in effective support planning, case management and escalation processes
Desirable:
• Professional Housing Qualification and/or Membership of the CIH
Further requirements:
In order to register with Central Recruitment Services for temporary agency work, candidates must meet the following criteria:
• Current valid right to work in the UK
• Minimum 12 months’ of paid experience in a front line social care role within the last 3 years* (unless recruitment criteria states otherwise)
• A fully enhanced DBS either registered on the DBS update service or issued within the last 12 months, or willingness to apply for one through Central (at a cost of £60)
• Employment or education history to cover the last 5 years which can be verified through the referencing process
