Grounds Maintenance Squad Leader (Permanent)
Location: Central Scotland (07:00 start from Buchlyvie)
DS McG Ltd is looking to recruit an experienced Grounds Maintenance Squad Leader to join our ever-growing business on a permanent, full-time basis. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established company that has been delivering first-class landscaping and grounds maintenance services across Central Scotland for over 20 years.
Key Requirement
Ability to travel to Buchlyvie for a 07:00 start each working day
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Leading and supervising a grounds maintenance squad on a day-to-day basis
Carrying out general grounds maintenance and landscaping works
Ensuring all works are completed to a high standard, efficiently and on schedule
Promoting and enforcing Health & Safety procedures on site
Operating and overseeing the safe use of tools, machinery, and equipment
Liaising with management and clients where required
Training, mentoring, and supporting team members
Essential Skills & Experience
Previous experience in grounds maintenance or landscaping
Proven ability to lead, motivate, and manage a team
Strong knowledge and awareness of Health & Safety regulations
Excellent timekeeping, reliability, and organisational skills
Desirable Skills & Qualifications
Full UK driving licence
Relevant tickets or qualifications (e.g. machinery, pesticides, first aid)
