IT TrainerSalary: £33,951 - £35,608Location: Liverpool, on siteContract: Permanent, full time (35 hours per week)We are recruiting an IT Trainer to actively promote the use of technology across the organisation and provide assistance and support on new and existing systems.The role is central to the design, delivery and management of formal and informal IT training. This includes classroom-based sessions, drop-ins and remote training, with a focus on new technologies and the IT and associated systems used by staff and students.Key responsibilities include:Delivering IT training in formal and informal settings, including remote sessionsManaging, developing and maintaining IT training courses for new and existing applicationsDesigning course materials such as manuals, hand-outs, e-learning content and exercisesEvaluating training effectiveness and maintaining records of learner developmentCarrying out training needs analysis and skills gap assessmentsProviding support and guidance on IT training-related enquiriesParticipating in user group meetings to understand business and user needs to be delivered from both systems improvements and trainingAssisting with the implementation and adoption of major IT systems and projectsMonitoring course feedback and making relevant improvementsAdvising colleagues on the use of existing and new technologiesManage and contribute towards medium and long term coordinated planning based on LSTM’s objectives to keep the organisation up to date with developments in AV and ITThis role is ideal for someone enthusiastic about IT training, continuous improvement and supporting staff and students to adopt technology effectively.The successful candidate will have:A recognised IT training qualification or previous experience in an IT training roleEvidence of up-to-date knowledge to keep abreast of changes within the computing and AV environmentExperience delivering IT training within a business IT and AV environmentExperience using and training Microsoft 365 applications, including Outlook and Microsoft TeamsStrong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiencesThe ability to quickly learn new technologies and adapt training accordinglyA flexible approach and the ability to work both independently and as part of a teamA commitment to equity, diversity and inclusion(For a full list of essential and desirable criteria please refer to the job description and person specification)Additional benefits of joining LSTM:30 days annual leave, plus bank holidays, plus Christmas closure daysGenerous occupational pension schemesGovernment backed “cycle to work” scheme.Affiliated, discounted staff membership to the University of Liverpool Sports CentreA range of additional family friendly policiesApplication Process: To apply for the position please follow the apply link and upload your CV and covering letter.Due to the volume of applications, we receive, we may close our vacancies early.
