Cleaner – York (YO26) – Temporary Role
Location: York Business Park, Nether Poppleton, York, YO26
Pay Rate: £12.21 per hour
Hours: Monday, Wednesday & Friday – 09:30am to 12:30pm (9 hours per week)
Contract: Temporary cover until 17th April 2026
Start Date: Immediate / ASAP
About the Role
We are recruiting for a reliable Cleaning Operative to support cleaning operations within a professional office environment in York Business Park. This role involves maintaining high cleaning standards while working safely and professionally within client premises.
Duties Will Include
Dusting, sweeping, vacuuming and mopping floors
Emptying waste bins and disposing of waste correctly
Cleaning desks, chairs and office surfaces
Cleaning toilets, urinals and wash basins
Spot cleaning carpets and maintaining carpeted areas
Operating cleaning equipment such as floor scrubbers and polishers
Cleaning internal glass and windows
Replenishing consumables such as soap, toilet rolls and paper towels
Supporting deep cleans and additional cleaning tasks when required
Using cleaning chemicals safely and in line with COSHH guidance
Moving furniture or equipment when required
Requirements
Previous cleaning experience preferred but not essential
Ability to work independently and maintain high standards
Reliable, punctual and professional attitude
Awareness of health and safety procedures
