The Best Connection Employment Group are currently seeking HGV Class 1 Drivers for one of our key clients in Basingstoke.
Rate of Pay:
£17.00 per hour (days)
£18.00 per hour (nights)
£25.50 per hour (overtime/weekends)
Minimum of 8.5 hours
Hours of Work:
ADHOC work
Start between 5am-7am until finish
Responsibilities of the Class 1 Driver:
- Operate a Class 1 vehicle from Basingstoke to various locations
- Load and unload vehicle using roll cages
- Perform complete pre and post operation inspection of the vehicle (tyre pressure, fluid levels, safety equipment, gauges, and controls)
- Report any safety issues on standard reports
- Adhere to assigned delivery schedule and follow all job directives precisely
- Interact with dispatchers and others on a daily basis to ensure all tasks are carried out in a timely and professional manner
- Follow all required safety policies and procedures
Requirements of the Class 1 Driver:
- Ability to successfully pass a driving assessment
- Category C+E Licence
- CPC
- Digi Tacho
The successful candidate will possess a current and valid Category C+E Licence, Digi Tacho and CPC card.
