Many of our schools have already introduced the 4DWW, and others will soon join in. So, whether it’s already in place or just around the corner, now’s the perfect time to join #teamOFG!
About the Role
At Smallbrook School, we’re looking for a compassionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for pupils with complex needs. You’ll help pupils access learning, develop confidence, and grow emotionally and socially, working closely with teachers and a multi-disciplinary team to deliver personalised support both inside and outside the classroom.
You’ll be part of a school community that values creativity, inclusion, and wellbeing — where your contribution makes a real, positive impact every day.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide consistent 1:1 academic and emotional support for pupils with SEND.
Support pupils with communication, attention, concentration, and social-emotional challenges.
Create a safe, nurturing, and positive learning environment that promotes engagement and wellbeing.
Work collaboratively with teachers, families, and external professionals such as Speech & Language Therapists and Educational Psychologists.
Contribute to planning, delivery, and review of individual learning and support plans.
Encourage independence, participation, and positive behaviour using child-centred approaches.
Uphold safeguarding, welfare, and behaviour policies at all times.
About You
We are looking for someone who is:
Patient, resilient, and passionate about supporting pupils with additional needs.
Experienced in an educational setting.
Able to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
