Stock Condition Surveyor

We are currently looking for a Stock Condition Surveyor to join One Vision Housing, part of The Sovini Group.

This position is a Fixed Term Contract for 12 months.

As a Stock Condition Surveyor, you will be expected to:
• The primary function of the role will be to complete the Group’s stock condition surveys and to liaise and engage with customers and staff regarding improvement works/programmes in a highly customer focused manner.
• Commit to the CIH 7 Professional Standards of Conduct in your day-to-day activities.
• Commit to equality and diversity and to promote non-discriminatory practices in all aspects of work undertaken.
• Adhere with the Health and Safety at Work Act to take reasonable care of own health and safety and that of others who may be affected by their acts and omissions.

To be successful in a Stock Condition Surveyor role, the skills you will need:

• Knowledge of current legislation relating to Building Works, Statutory Compliance and Health and Safety Regulations
• Full driving license and use of a car for work purposes.
• Excellent communication skills, able to communicate across multiple channels including Microsoft Teams, Face to Face and Email.
• Ability to work in an agile working environment.
• Excellent ICT skills which can be used to monitor service delivery, programmes and budgets, particularly Microsoft Excel.
• Team player with the ability to work off own initiative.

Experience or Knowledge of the below would be advantageous but not essential:

• Construction related qualification i.e. Higher National Certificate (HNC) or similar or working towards qualification.
• Awareness of property management/performance, including refurbishment, regeneration and construction management.
• Experience of undertaking surveys including stock condition, internal, external and estate wide surveys to produce meaningful work programmes.
• Knowledge of the Social Housing sector.
• Ability to effectively prioritise and manage multiple tasks to fixing and exacting timescales.
