The role
We are looking for an experienced and forward-thinking People Systems and Insight Manager to join our People leadership team.
This is a key role for the department, leading the development and continuous improvement of our People systems, data and insight. You will play a central part in modernising how we use HR technology and people data, ensuring it is reliable, joined up and genuinely supports decision making across the business.
You will work closely with People Team colleagues, IT and senior leaders to translate organisational priorities into practical, data-led people solutions. As part of the management team, you will also contribute to the wider People strategy and building a more insight-driven People function. The role includes line management responsibility.
We are looking for someone who truly Owns it, Improves it and Lives it. Someone who takes accountability, drives continuous improvement and brings empathy, integrity and collaboration to how they lead and work with others.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and develop People systems (incl. ATS and LMS) and data to support a modern, insight-driven People function
Drive continuous improvement of HR technology and process digitisation, ensuring systems are reliable, integrated and user-focused
Enable the delivery of high-quality people insight and reporting to support business and workforce decisions
Ensure strong data governance, security and compliance across all People systems
Work in close partnership with IT, Business Intelligence and People Team colleagues
Manage system suppliers to ensure value for money and ongoing improvement projects
Line management responsibility for a small team
What You’ll Do
Lead the day-to-day management, development and optimisation of People systems across HR, payroll, learning and recruitment
Develop and deliver a clear roadmap for People systems and insight, aligned to organisational and digital priorities
Deliver meaningful people insight and reporting that supports workforce planning, pay, performance and strategic decision making
Champion a modern, user focused approach to People systems that improves experience and efficiency for colleagues and managers
Work closely with IT and Business Intelligence to ensure systems are integrated, secure and future focused
Manage relationships with system suppliers and partners, ensuring value for money and continuous improvement
Contribute to People and organisational projects, acting as a subject matter expert for systems, data and analytics
What You’ll Bring
Significant experience managing and developing HR systems and data reporting in a complex organisation
Proven ability to turn data into clear, actionable insight
Confidence in collaborating and influencing stakeholders at different levels, including senior leaders
Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail
Experience of line managing or developing others
A proactive mindset and a passion for modernising the HR function
CIPD qualified or equivalent experience
