Summary
This is a substantive Consultant Old Age Psychiatrist post where you will provide Senior Medical input into the Northumberland Memory Service (NMS) and Community Treatment Team (CTT) in the West Northumberland locality covering the older adult population. The post will be based at the Fairnington Centre, Corbridge Road, Hexham, Northumberland, NE46 1QJ. The locality is divided geographically between the post holder and another full time Consultant colleague, with this post covering the inner West. This includes the towns of Ponteland, Prudhoe, Corbridge, and part of Hexham as defined by GP practice. The post is a replacement post following the departure of the previous incumbent. The Trust is constantly seeking to improve its services and to respond to changes in health care need and demand. The post holder should be flexible and open to changes that enhance patient care and will be expected to play a supporting role in developing these services. This job description may be amended in the light of changes to service delivery.
