Crynodeb
The postholder will work closely withthe Medical SchoolYear 3 & 4Leads, Clinical Leads, and theClinical Liaison Teamto deliver high quality undergraduateeducationtoPeninsula Medical Schoolstudentsbased in Plymouth University Hospitals NHS Trust. The main duties of the role will include: Acting as key clinical liaison for medical students during their clinical pathway placements. Coordinating and organising teaching for Pathway Weeks.Liaising with Clinical Teacher Leads and clinical teams to improve delivery of teaching. Demonstrating and teaching practical & clinical skills within both the clinical environment and simulated teaching scenarios Leadingclinicalteaching within clinical pathway weeks and developinglocal departmental teaching opportunities for students. Liaison withnurses,juniordoctors,other health care providers,patients, relativesas well assenior medical staff within departments to support the successful facilitation of theBMBSprogramme withinallocateddepartments. Undertaking formal teachingboth face to face and using remote platforms, whenrequired. This could include the delivery of tutorials, lectures, ClinicalSkillsand simulation sessionsacross a range of specialities,both medical and surgical. Attendingward rounds and multi-disciplinary rounds asrequiredto support the delivery of the medical education undergraduate teaching programme. Supporting quality assurance arrangements forclinical teaching within departments, as directed bythe Pathway Leads / Hospital Sub Dean. Attending,whenrequired,monthlyClinical Teacher Leads Meeting and otherMedical School Working Groups
