Music Teacher – Full-time, long-term temporary role starting April 2026

Duties as Music Teacher:

  • Plan and deliver engaging Music lessons across relevant year groups
  • Support pupils in developing practical performance, listening, and composition skills
  • Maintain a calm, well-managed classroom environment
  • Adapt teaching approaches to meet varied learning needs
  • Assess pupil progress and provide constructive feedback
  • Contribute to departmental planning and wider curriculum initiatives
  • Promote positive behaviour and consistent routines
  • Uphold safeguarding standards and prioritise pupil welfare

Ideal Music Teacher:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience teaching Music
  • Strong subject knowledge in performance, composition, and theory
  • Effective classroom and behaviour management skills
  • Ability to inspire and motivate learners of all abilities
  • Good organisational and communication skills
  • Reflective, proactive, and committed to supporting pupil progress
  • Dedicated to safeguarding and pupil well‑being
