We are looking for a motivated, strategic, and experienced property professional to join our award-winning Estates and Facilities Directorate and play a vital role in managing and developing the Trust’s extensive property portfolio.
We are seeking candidates with:
• Significant experience in public sector property management – NHS preferred
• Proven negotiation and commercial acumen in landlord and tenant law
• Professional qualifications (RICS or equivalent) or equivalent senior-level experience
• Strong project and contract management capabilities
• Excellent communication skills and ability to influence at all levels
You must be comfortable working across a large and complex estate, be highly organised, and bring an analytical, solutions-focused approach to estate challenges.

You will get to work within a diverse and supportive team that is central to shaping the future of NHS estate in east London and will be engage in varied and high-impact projects across one of the most ambitious Estates Strategies in the NHS.

The Asset Manager will provide professional property management across the Trust’s occupied and leased estate, acting both as landlord (managing service charges, leases, and SLA compliance for occupiers) and as tenant (ensuring value for money and compliance with external landlord obligations). The role will take lead responsibility for lease management, development, and negotiation to safeguard the Trust’s financial and operational position.

Although this position is a 6 months fixed-term contract, the actual contract duration will be adjusted to account for the time taken to advertise the post, complete the hiring process, and finalise pre-employment checks. This means the contract will begin when the candidate starts the role and may beslightlyshorter than 6 months.
