We are looking for an Administrator to join the RSPB Loch Lomond nature reserve team.RSPB Loch Lomond is found on the south-eastern shores of the world-famous loch, just 1 mile from the village of Gartocharn. The reserve is home to a wide variety of exceptional wildlife and habitats, as well as some modest visitor facilities and stunning walks. The reserve team manage the habitats and visitor facilities from a small site office based in the farmyard on the reserve. Balancing practical habitat work, facilities maintenance, project delivery and visitor management can be complex, and requires the skills of an experienced administrator to help keep everything running smoothly to allow us all to deliver the best we can for nature.As an Administrator you will provide comprehensive administrative support to the Loch Lomond reserve team, facilitating the delivery of work programmes and an effective working environment. Key Responsibilities:Supporting the site manager with facilities, health and safety and contractor administrations tasks.Project management support for internal and partnership projects.Supporting the Visitor Experience Manager with event and visitor related tasks.Supporting the wardening team with residential volunteer and day volunteer management tasks.Taking the lead on site purchases, stock and expense claims.Managing diaries and meetings for the site team including booking, taking minutes and circulating actions.Office management tasks including maximising the efficiency of the available space.Supporting the team to help with the smooth running of the reserve at all times.Essential qualifications, knowledge, skills and experienceStandard grades/Nat 5's Grade C or above, including Maths and English, or equivalent (i.e. GCSE's).Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (especially Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.Knowledge of document management and team collaboration tools.Knowledge of budget management terminology and processes.Organisational and time management skills.Proactive approach to problem solving.Able to communicate effectively with a wide range of audiences whether by phone, email or in person. Able to organise meetings and events and coordinate all aspects of the meeting or event logistics.Able to make the best use of time particularly when under pressure from competing priorities, prioritising and delegating tasks effectively, during periods of both low and high demand.Experience of working in an office or customer care environment in an administrative role.Desirable qualifications, knowledge, skills and experienceInterest in and knowledge of conservation and the natural world.Experience of working with volunteers.This is a permanent, part-time contract for 22.5 hours per week.
