An established and forward-thinking RCVS-accredited small animal practice in Wigan is seeking an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join its friendly and highly skilled clinical team.

The Practice
The practice is an advanced first opinion veterinary clinic with vets holding orthopaedic, soft tissue and ultrasound certificates. It is fully equipped to support a high standard of diagnostics and surgery, including:
• Full orthopaedic kit
• Endoscopy, gastroscope and laparoscopy
• Ultrasound
• X-ray
• ECG
• Dentistry
• In-house laboratory
• Dedicated orthopaedic theatre
• Ample onsite parking

The Role – Veterinary Surgeon
The successful Veterinary Surgeon will be accountable for delivering outstanding patient care while ensuring the highest standards of clinical, regulatory, and operational compliance.
Working pattern:
• 40 hours per week
• 4 days per week (full time)
• 1 in 6 weekends
Key Responsibilities
The Veterinary Surgeon will typically:
• Deliver exceptional clinical care during consultations and surgical procedures
• Maintain high standards of RCVS, regulatory, and practice compliance
• Create and communicate tailored treatment plans with clients
• Work collaboratively within a supportive and experienced veterinary team
• Share clinical knowledge and contribute to team development
• Build trusted relationships with clients, colleagues, and patients
