We are looking for an experienced RGN to become part of our Tissue Viability Team as a Band 6 Nurse. We cover West Cheshire community settings taking referrals from the care community teams, practice nurses, GPs, and care homes. We are looking for an enthusiastic nurse who has experience and knowledge in wound care and leg ulcer management and may have completed a tissue viability module. Essential to have completed the Leg Ulcer Course and be confident in compression bandaging. Experience within community district nursing would be an advantage.

The successful candidate will be reporting to the team leader but would also be required to work autonomously, delivering evidence-based care. Good interpersonal skills are essential as you will be communicating with a wide range of health professionals involved in the patients care. You will also be required to take part in the training our team delivers.

Travel is an integral part of this post.

We would consider offering a secondment opportunity for internal applicants. Please seek approval for this by your current line manager before you apply for this job.

This post is part time 30 hours per week.

Shortlisting for this vacancy is due to commence on 23/02/2026 and the proposed interview date is 01/04/2026.

The Tissue Viability Team is based at Custom House Ellesmere Port and we cover the West Cheshire Area. It’s important that you have access to transport for work purposes, but of course, mileage expenses are reimbursed in addition to your hourly rate.

As a Nurse in Tissue Viability the successful candidate will be expected to provide specialist Tissue Viability advice, support education and training to patients, carers, and health care professionals. This should be based on knowledge and relevant evidence and research. Policy developments and reviewing current policies is also part of this role.

Working collaboratively with the wider health, social care sectors and third sector partner agencies to meet the needs of the patient.

You will work alongside various professionals to provide quality and seamless care to patients predominantly in their own home, care homes and GP practices.
