What You will Do Clinical Practice Independently assess, diagnose, and manage MSK presentations including complex cases Request investigations (e.g. imaging, blood tests) and make appropriate referrals Create tailored self-management plans to support behavioural change and recovery Use full scope of practice - including prescribing and injection therapy (if qualified) Record utilisation data daily and collect Patient Satisfaction Questionnaires (PSQs) Collaboration & Development Work as part of a GP-based MDT and build positive relationships with practice staff Educate colleagues on MSK triage pathways and provide informal guidance Support clinical audits and service improvement initiatives Help shape and refine local MSK care pathways Leadership & Learning Engage in supervision and peer reflection sessions Continue your development against the HEE Roadmap to Practice Contribute to clinical governance and mentoring where appropriate What Were Looking For Essential: HCPC & CSP registered Physiotherapist Minimum 5 years post-graduate clinical experience Minimum 3 years MSK clinical experience Understanding of the HEE Roadmap to Practice and the MSK Core Capabilities Framework Active CPD portfolio aligned to the 4 pillars of advanced practice Passed Stage 1 of the HEE Roadmap Desirable: MSc Level 7 modules Prior FCP or MSK triage experience (private or NHS) Experience working in GP practices Experience using EMIS or SystmOne Qualified in injection therapy and/or as an Independent Prescriber Key Skills Confident and friendly with a collaborative approach to integrating into GP practice teams Able to build strong relationships with GPs, receptionists, nurses, and MDT members Excellent communication and clinical reasoning skills Calm, resilient, and proactive in a fast-paced, evolving healthcare setting Comfortable with digital tools and modern clinical systems Committed to high standards of ethical, professional, and patient-centred care What We Offer Salary: £39,405 £52,809 (depending on experience) 12.5+ days protected CPD time annually Fully funded training in Injection Therapy and Independent Prescribing 25 days annual leave + Bank Holidays (rising to 33 with service) Enhanced sick pay scheme Corporate private healthcare cash plan via Medicash Electric Vehicle Salary Sacrifice Scheme Cycle2Work and TechScheme salary sacrifice options Flexible workplace pension Refer-a-friend bonus scheme A friendly, inclusive, and supportive team culture Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Primary Care Physio (PCP) welcomes applications from all backgrounds and is committed to fair and inclusive recruitment.
