Asset Manager – South East

Location: Burghmuir/Queensferry/Bonnyrigg

Category: Asset Management

Full Time / Permanent, 40 Hours per week, Monday – Friday

BEAR Scotland is a leading provider of highway maintenance services across Scotland. We manage and maintain over 2,000km of Scotland’s trunk road network, tackling just about every imaginable task and working round the clock to help keep Scotland moving.

The South-East Trunk Road Unit spans 506km through some of the busiest sections of the country, from central Scotland to through the Scottish Borders. Trunk roads in the South East range from the major multi-lane motorways across the central belt to roads through villages in the borders.

The South-East Unit includes 870 bridges and structures including the iconic Queensferry Crossing and Forth Road Bridge, as well as other major bridges such as the Kincardine Bridge and Clackmannanshire Bridge.

We have an exciting opportunity to join the South East Unit as our Asset Manager.

As a key member of the contract management team, you’ll play a pivotal role in driving both client delivery and operational performance.

As Asset Manager, you’ll champion the collection, analysis and use of asset information to inform business decisions. Through your leadership of both the asset data and inspection teams you will ensure accurate and robust information is collected and assessed in the Asset Management Performance System, to inform future programmes of work and budget allocation. You will also be the safeguard for a number of Performance Indicators, ensuring continued contractual compliance.

In addition to these core aspects, the scope of the role has the potential to expand for the right candidate, providing a unique opportunity for professional growth and experience.

Role includes:

Championing the principles of Asset Management throughout the business
Overall responsibility for Inspection requirements, data collection, analysis and recording
Line management of asset data and inspection teams
