This role helps shape aviation safety policy within a fast‑paced legislative programme alongside the Civil Aviation Authority. It combines legislative development, project management, and stakeholder engagement, offering deep insight into the UK aviation safety system. The postholder will build strong networks across the CAA and industry, contribute to assessing proposed legislative changes, and lead effective stakeholder engagement through site visits, regular industry interaction, and coordination of the wider aviation safety engagement strategy.
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Supporting Blue Light Aviation Safety
- Engaging with industry on aviation safety rulemaking
- Managing Aviation Safety within the Crown Dependencies and Overseas Territories
- Developing and overseeing State Safety Board work
