Summary
Drive Pro Academy is recruiting three trainee driving instructors based in or around Elgin.
We offer a structured, supported route into driving instruction for people looking for a long-term career change. This is not a franchise opportunity and does not require large up-front training fees.
Elgin is a busy test centre with high learner demand, and we are expanding capacity by training new instructors properly and supporting them once qualified.
The training route
Training is delivered through a combination of:
Structured online learning
A two-week intensive in-person training period in Orkney
Ongoing mentoring and support from experienced trainer instructors, including local support in Elgin
Training is fully supported, with time to build confidence before teaching independently.
About the role
Once qualified, you will work as a self-employed driving instructor, supported with:
Ongoing mentoring
Admin and booking support
A gradual, supported start to teaching
Drive Pro Academy covers the cost of training up front. In return, instructors commit to working with us for a minimum period once qualified. Full details are explained clearly before any commitment is made.
This role may suit you if you:
Live in or near Elgin and plan to stay
Are considering a career change
Enjoy working with people
Have strong driving experience and a calm, patient approach
Are looking for a long-term, supported move into self-employment
No previous teaching experience is required.
