An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Franklin Ward, which specialises in care of the elderly, as a Band 4 Nurse Associate. The post holder will assist and support the ward's nursing staff in ensuring optimal care is provided to service users and patients.

You will be responsible for delivering high quality, patient-centred, and compassionate care under the direction of qualified nursing staff, with a focus on promoting health and independence. You will also be an accountable professional and have the ability to work without direct supervision, within the parameters of the role, by undertaking a range of duties appropriate to the level of responsibility, knowledge, and skills acquired.

• Provides high quality clinical care to patients, in line with the trust values and in accordance with professional regulations.
• Accepts delegated responsibility from the Nurse in Charge, for the care of a specific group of patients. Works in line with trust policies, objectives, protocols and local guidelines and in accordance with NMC regulations.
• Works as part of a team to provide high quality, evidence based clinical care to patients and their carers.
• Communicates in accordance with trust values at all times with patients, carers and other staff members.
• Undertakes opportunities to develop and expand their nursing skills, acting as a supervisor for Nurse Associates in training, Health Care Support Workers or Nursing students.
• Maintains high standards of professional responsibility and accountability and have an awareness of the ethical and medico-legal aspects of nursing in line with NMCregulations and local guidance.

The Hillingdon Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is the only acute hospital in the London Borough of Hillingdon and offers a wide range of services, including accident and emergency, inpatient care, day surgery, outpatient clinics, and maternity services. The Trust’s services at Mount Vernon Hospital include routine day surgery, delivered at a modern treatment centre, a minor injuries unit, and outpatient clinics.
