A rapidly growing technology business is looking for someone just like you.
This is a rare opportunity to join a highly technical engineering team working on patent-protected power solutions, where your FPGA expertise will directly influence real-world performance and product development.
About the FPGA RTL Digital Engineer job
You’ll be responsible for the design and development of FPGA-based embedded systems, supporting products from early requirements through to verification.
Key responsibilities include:
Develop firmware and FPGA requirements in collaboration with Product and Electronics teams
Produce FPGA requirements documentation and verification plans
Design and evaluate control algorithms for embedded systems
Create register maps and supporting technical documentation
Analyse computational complexity and FPGA resource utilisation
Design, write, verify, and document RTL modules using HDL (Hardware Description Languages)
Work closely with hardware engineers to support device selection
Support board bring-up and assist with system-level verification
You’ll report directly to senior electronics leadership while working closely with a multidisciplinary engineering team.
What we’re looking for in this FPGA Engineer Job
We’re seeking candidates with strong experience in FPGA and digital design, ideally within embedded or high-reliability systems.
You should have:
Extensive experience in FPGA / ASIC design and verification
Strong RTL skills using Verilog, SystemVerilog, and/or VHDL
A solid understanding of FPGA design fundamentals, including CDC, constraints, STA, and timing closure
Experience with FPGA toolchains such as Xilinx Vivado, Lattice Diamond/Radiant, or Microchip Libero
Confidence developing and running simulations and testbenches
Experience using verification techniques such as UVM/OVM, SystemVerilog assertions, and coverage analysis
A methodical approach to debugging issues in simulation and on hardware
Clear communication skills and the ability to work effectively within engineering teams
