Summary
The Clinical Tutor is responsible for delivering high-quality professional education, learning and development to a diverse range of learners across Medipros education programmes. The role involves planning, delivering and assessing engaging, practice-based learning that meets awarding organisation, regulatory and apprenticeship requirements. The Clinical Tutor manages a caseload of learners, providing academic and pastoral support, monitoring progress and supporting achievement. As a subject and practice expert, the postholder contributes to curriculum quality, inspection readiness and continuous improvement, while maintaining professional registration, clinical credibility and a safe, inclusive learning environment. Main Duties Plan, prepare and deliver engaging, innovative and informative teaching sessions aligned to awarding body, regulatory and apprenticeship standards. Manage a caseload of learners, providing academic guidance, pastoral support, regular feedback and action planning. Mark and assess learner work accurately and timely, maintaining assessment and examination security at all times. Support learner progress through regular contact, reviews and targeted interventions where required. Create and maintain a safe, welcoming and inclusive learning environment across all delivery settings. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of awarding organisation requirements, apprenticeship standards and curriculum frameworks. Demonstrate a clear understanding of the Ofsted inspection framework and individual responsibilities within it. Produce written reports on learner progress, quality and compliance for internal and external use. Support accreditation, moderation and inspection activity, including preparation of evidence, reports and action plans. Identify learner and organisational training needs and contribute to the design and review of educational solutions. Lead or support curriculum or clinical subject areas, providing guidance and support to colleagues. Mentor, support and assess newly appointed, trainee or seconded tutors as required. Participate in tutor recruitment, selection and assessment processes when required Contribute to the development of teaching materials, learning resources and assessment tools. Monitor and evaluate programme delivery to ensure quality exceeds minimum awarding body standards. Act as an exam invigilator and manage summative and formative assessments as required. Participate in audits, investigations, complaints or incident reviews when required. Ensure the safe use, storage and security of equipment, vehicles, training venues and prescription-only medicines used for instructional purposes. Prioritise and manage own workload effectively to support business delivery. Maintain professional registration and actively engage in CPD to sustain clinical and educational credibility. Comply with all organisational policies, procedures, safeguarding and governance requirements.
