Science Teacher – Darwen
Humly is recruiting a Science Teacher to join a secondary school on a long-term basis.
This is a full-time role starting in February and continuing until the end of the Summer term. This role would suit a confident and adaptable practitioner who can engage pupils across a range of abilities and deliver high-quality science teaching within a supportive department. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging lessons, supporting pupil progress, and maintaining positive behaviour in the classroom.
What You’ll Be Doing
Plan and deliver engaging mixed science lessons across Key Stage 3
Assess and monitor pupil progress, providing constructive feedback
Maintain positive behaviour and a safe learning environment
Collaborate with colleagues to enhance curriculum delivery and outcomes
Support pupils’ individual learning needs through targeted interventions
What You’ll Bring
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Experience teaching mixed-ability secondary science
Strong classroom management and behaviour management skills
Ability to adapt lessons to meet the needs of all pupils
Commitment to high standards of teaching and learning
Enthusiasm for contributing to a supportive and collaborative department
Pay
Paid to scale from day one: £168.80 – £232.57 per day (M1 – M6)
