About the Role:

We have an exciting opportunity for a Data Insight & Systems Analyst at Advance. Advance is a specialist supported housing association that is on an exciting journey to deliver more services and develop more housing for people with learning difficulties, disabilities and supporting people towards greater independent living.
Our Technology and Data Services team support Advance by delivering our business systems infrastructure and reporting needs. With your knowledge of system design, data analysis and reporting tools, you will help with the delivery of robust, reliable and efficient strategies and support us to develop our data and reporting capabilities.
At Advance we are passionate about growth and we have some ambitious plans to take us into 2026 and we can only do this with the best data insights available. This is why we need you! You will be based at either our office in Witney or Leicester but will also travel to some of our other offices and schemes across the country from time to time.
You will have responsibility for:
• Optimisation of the availability, quality and consistency of management reporting and business intelligence
• Providing high quality data analysis and insight, translating data into reports to identify and make recommendations for continuous improvement and effective business change
• Championing data ownership, ensuring that all business decisions are based on accurate and high quality data and management information
• Design and delivery of innovative and effective systems-based training
• Lead and promote initiatives that support a desired shift to digital service delivery using online facilities such as web portals, smartphone apps, cloud services and social media.
About you:
• Demonstrable SQL query writing experience and a minimum of 2 years proven experience as a Data Analyst or in a similar role
• Proven experience of delivering system design, database administration, data analysis techniques, systems analysis, training and user support, with at least 2 years relevant experience in a related discipline
• Demonstrable experience of producing performance reports for a range of audiences, and ability to convey complex data insight and analysis concisely to both a technical and non-technical audience in a range of formats
• Experience of implementing and administering changes to IT systems, following formal change control procedures
• Experience of delivering systems and other technology related projects using formal project management frameworks
• Understanding and proven experience of delivering systems based reporting tools, database structures, data warehousing, data modelling, data insight, benchmarking, and KPI reporting frameworks
• Strong negotiation and influencing skills and the ability to champion activities aimed at successful delivery of business objectives
