Pastoral Lead

Humly is recruiting a Pastoral Lead to join a secondary school on a long-term basis.

This is a full-time, non-teaching role working closely under the Senior Assistant Headteacher. The position would suit an experienced pastoral professional who is confident supporting pupil wellbeing, behaviour, and engagement, and who can build strong, trusted relationships with pupils, families, and staff across the school.

What You’ll Be Doing

Supporting pupils’ wellbeing, behaviour, and emotional development

Working closely with senior leaders to implement pastoral strategies

Monitoring and supporting attendance, behaviour, and engagement

Acting as a key point of contact for pupils and families

Liaising with teaching staff, external agencies, and support services

Promoting a safe, inclusive, and supportive school environment

What You’ll Bring

Previous experience in a pastoral, behaviour, or student support role

Confidence working with secondary-aged pupils

Strong communication and relationship-building skills

Experience supporting behaviour management and attendance

A calm, professional, and empathetic approach

A strong commitment to safeguarding and pupil welfare

Pay

£16.00+ per hour

Important Information

Full-time: Monday to Friday
Start date: To be confirmed
Non-class, secondary school-based position
Enhanced DBS required
(If required, Humly can support with an Enhanced DBS at a cost to the educator)
