We are looking for an inspirational and enthusiastic leader who has the qualities and desire to be a Head of Year.
You will be an aspirational, caring, and compassionate person who embodies the school ethos of ‘kindness, aspiration, perseverance’.
This is an excellent time to be joining the team as we transition from a House system to a Year system. The successful candidate will be pivotal in shaping the new Head of Year role. They will also be an exceptional practitioner in their teaching speciality. The Purbeck School offers a supportive and innovative workplace where young people are at the heart of everything we do. With a strong commitment to outstanding pastoral care, we are proud that our May 2025 Ofsted inspection judged the school to be ‘exceptional’ in many areas.
Applications from candidates who specialise in teaching Maths, History or RE will be prioritised.

A broad range of information and resources respond to holistic wellbeing needs, not solely mental health, aiming to address the many life factors that can affect wellbeing. The provision of the service can help to mitigate the risks associated with working within an educational environment and offer professional advice and guidance on a range of health aspects related to fitness to work with students.
Health Cash Plan - The Trust provide the basic package, which covers the employee and any dependents (under 18 or up to 21/24 if in full-time education). There is an option to upgrade the plan through salary sacrifice.
