Operations Assistant Required - Chessington, London
The Best Connection are currently recruiting for a Operations Assistant to join a well-established manufacturing and warehouse operation based in Chessington. This is a permanent role offering stable weekday hours, excellent benefits, and full training across a range of machinery and warehouse functions.
Working Hours:
* Monday to Friday
* 08:00 - 16:00 or 09:00 - 17:00
* 1-hour unpaid lunch break
Salary & Benefits:
* £25,510 per annum (£14.02 per hour)
* 23 days annual leave plus bank holidays
* Bonus scheme
* Overtime paid at 1.5x hourly rate
* Full training provided
Key Responsibilities:
* Operating warehouse and manufacturing equipment including bandsaws, L-Sealers, and CNC machines
* Picking, packing, and preparing goods for dispatch
* Assisting with goods inwards and stock movement
* Operating FLT equipment where required and acting as a banksman
* Carrying out basic quality checks to ensure products meet specifications
* Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe working environment
* Following all health and safety procedures at all times
Candidate Requirements:
* Previous experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment is preferred
* FLT experience is desirable, though training can be provided
* Comfortable working with machinery following full training
* Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to work
* Reliable, punctual, and able to work effectively as part of a team
