Summary

Wolfdale School is an Independent Specialist School with multiple sites in Leicestershire. Our provision is for young people with an Education Health and Care Plan and those with a diagnosis including Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD), Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder, Anxiety, and Social Emotional Mental Health.Permanent, full time role.
Covering 5 days per week, 8:30am – 4:30pm on a Wednesday and all remaining days 8:30-4pm, 39 weeks per annum, mainly based at our unit in Desford however may also be required to work at our main sites of Anstey and Ratby“Our mission is to enable young people with Autism to reach their full potential by building resilience and removing social and emotional barriers to enable educational achievement and develop individuals’ personality.” The role will provide support to students within the school following the timetable provided. The role will ensure students feel supported and support us with our aims to provide a positive and fun learning experience.About you: You may not have worked in a school setting previously, wee are looking for life skills for the role, any of which would be beneficial please see the following list:Car/motorcycle/bicycle mechanics Garden machinery mechanics Joinery/carpentry Bricklaying Plumbing Painting and decoratingYou will be: Able to promote and support the development of our students Supporting the students in all aspects of their learning. Able to monitor learners’ responses to activities and modify your approach accordingly. Encouraging participation in both structured and unstructured learning times. Approachable, positive and adaptable to change.
