Crynodeb
This post 37.5 hours per week full time, fixed term for 1 year in the first instance. Flexible working and secondments would be considered.
The post holder will work within the GMMH Central Research Delivery Team to provide specialist skills and knowledge to support the delivery of clinical research across Greater Manchester Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust.
This includes supporting the identification and consent of participants to a range of clinical research studies adopted by the National Institute of Health and Care Research (NIHR). This involves supporting service users, carers, families and clinical teams involved in studies and supporting the development, implementation and regular review of recruitment strategies for a diverse range of studies delivered across a diverse population.
Additionally the post-holder will actively promote research and the work of the GMMH Research & Innovation team and the NIHR Clinical Research Network amongst clinicians, service users and the wider NHS.
The post holder will be involved in and oversee the delivery of trial protocols, and will be involved in ensuring that the research undertaken safeguards the well-being of the participants and is conducted within research governance legislation and Trust policies for research.
Post holders will be assigned to specific divisions / clinical services in the Trust and will be expected to report research engagement and referral rates to senior leadership teams overseeing clinical services. The post holder must also be prepared to work across the GMMH geographical footprint.
