- Serve as the Force’s primary authority for information security issues, offering proactive and reactive guidance on the secure operation of systems and applications.
- Promote internal communication and awareness initiatives to ensure all staff understand their responsibilities in protecting information systems and assets.
- Coordinate investigations and reporting of actual or suspected security incidents involving technology or personnel, producing reports to strengthen future security measures.
What you’ll bring
- You will hold key information security certifications, including CISMP and CCP (Security & Information Risk Adviser and Information Assurance Auditor specialisms), with strong knowledge of security and risk accreditation processes such as risk assessment and reporting.
- Qualified (or experienced) in managing internal investigations relating to information security threats and data breaches, including data protection related incidents.
- Extensive understanding of assessing, recording, and monitoring risk at both organisational and individual levels, ensuring all matters are managed in accordance with relevant standards and procedures.
- Proven ability to manage a complex workload, balancing competing demands and tight deadlines effectively.
- Possesses the ability to organise, develop and motivate staff, as well as design and improve processes to meet anticipated service demands.
