Our client, a respected further education institution in London, is seeking a skilled and proactive Maintenance Tradesperson to join their Estates and Facilities team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a reliable and versatile individual to contribute to the upkeep and smooth running of a vibrant educational environment.
About the RoleAs a Maintenance Tradesperson, you will be responsible for delivering a wide range of general maintenance and repair tasks across the college's estate. This includes planned and reactive works, ensuring that facilities are safe, functional, and well-presented for staff, students, and visitors.
Key responsibilities include:
- Performing minor plumbing, carpentry, painting, and electrical repairs.
- Conducting routine inspections and reporting issues.
- Assisting with room setups, furniture moves, and general upkeep.
- Supporting health and safety compliance across the site.
- Responding promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies.
Candidate Profile
We are looking for someone with:
- Proven experience in a similar maintenance or handyperson role.
- A broad skill set across multiple trades.
- Good communication and problem-solving abilities.
- A proactive and flexible approach to work.
- Relevant qualifications or training in building maintenance (desirable but not essential).
