Start Date: February 2026
Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: £105.00 - £120 per day / Competitive (dependent on experience and responsibilities)
Working hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm

We're partnering with a welcoming and inclusive specialist school in Rochdale, who are looking for a committed SEN Teaching Assistant to join their close-knit team. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in supporting pupils and making a real, positive impact every day.
About the Role:
- Deliver 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with EHCPs and additional learning needs
- Work alongside the class teacher to support lessons, manage behaviour, and implement personalised strategies
- Encourage emotional regulation, independence, and consistent daily routines
- Support progress monitoring and maintain clear communication with the wider multidisciplinary team
What We're Looking For:
- Previous experience supporting children with SEND in an education or care environment
- Confident communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships
- A patient, empathetic, and proactive attitude
- A solid understanding of Autism and wider SEND needs
- A relevant Teaching Assistant qualification
To be eligible you must:
- Hold Right to Work in the UK
- Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service OR be willing to process a new application
- Provide two professional child related references
