- Provide one-on-one or small group support to students, helping them to understand lesson content and complete tasks
- Assist the teacher in the preparation and delivery of lessons, including the creation of teaching materials and resources
- Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teachers on individual learning needs and achievements
- Supervise and engage with students during break times, lunchtime, and extracurricular activities
- Maintain a safe, organised, and inclusive learning environment that promotes student wellbeing
- Attend staff meetings, training sessions, and other professional development opportunities as required
- Adhere to the school's policies and procedures, including those related to safeguarding and child protection
- A relevant Teaching Assistant or education-related qualification (e.g. , NVQ, BTEC, or equivalent)
- Experience working with children or young people in an educational setting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with students, teachers, and parents
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and work under pressure
- A positive, patient, and flexible attitude, with a genuine commitment to supporting the academic and personal development of students
- A good understanding of the national curriculum and the learning needs of students at various key stages
- A valid DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) certificate or the willingness to obtain one
