Our client, a leading educational organisation in Chorley, Lancashire, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Behaviour Support Worker to join their team. This is a full-time position with a competitive daily rate of £95 - £110.

As a Behaviour Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in creating a positive and nurturing environment for young learners. Your primary responsibility will be to provide tailored support to students who require additional assistance in managing their behaviour and emotional well-being. You will work closely with teachers, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement effective behaviour management strategies, ensuring that each student has the opportunity to thrive and succeed.

The successful candidate will possess a strong understanding of child development, behaviour management techniques, and the ability to effectively communicate with both students and their families. You will be adept at identifying the underlying causes of challenging behaviours and developing personalised support plans to address them. Additionally, you will be skilled in de-escalating tense situations and promoting positive relationships between students and their peers.

In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Providing one-to-one or small group support to students who require additional behaviour management assistance
- Collaborating with teachers and other professionals to develop and implement comprehensive behaviour support plans
- Monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of implemented strategies, making adjustments as necessary
- Maintaining detailed records and documentation to track student progress and communicate with parents and stakeholders
- Participating in staff training and professional development opportunities to stay up-to-date with the latest best practices in behaviour management
- Ensuring the safety and well-being of all students under your care, adhering to all relevant safeguarding policies and procedures

To be considered for this position, you must have:
- Relevant experience working with young learners, preferably in a Behaviour Support or Special Educational Needs (SEND) setting
- A strong understanding of child development, behaviour management techniques, and the ability to effectively communicate with students and their families
- The ability to remain calm and composed in challenging situations, with a proven track record of de-escalating tense scenarios
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues
- A flexible and adaptable approach, with the willingness to work collaboratively as part of a dedicated team
- A valid DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) certificate or the willingness to obtain one

If you are passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of young learners and are ready to join a dynamic and supportive team, we encourage you to submit your CV for consideration.

This job is being advertised on Senploy - the UK's favourite education and SEND job board.
