Summary
Pinnacle Group are looking to recruit an experienced Head of Operational Finance within our Homes Finance team to lead our client accounting during a period of transition, ensuring they deliver an efficient, high quality and valued service to our clients and end customers alike. With a natural attention to detail and excellent people management skills, you will help deliver on our best in class ambition through the development of robust processes, a high-performing team and customer centric approach. Performing an important role in the business, you will be a key point of contact for operational colleagues and other internal stakeholders. This role also faces externally; meeting current clients to present reports and discuss performance.
This is a full-time role largely based in one of our offices in Central London. The working hours are Monday - Friday 9am - 5.30pm. The role is paying £90,000-£100,000, pro-rata'd for the 6-month FTC.
The Homes team operates a large mixed portfolio of new and existing Affordable homes nationwide comprising Affordable and Social Rent, Shared Ownership and Supported homes.

Key responsibilities:
- Provide day-to-day leadership to the client accounting and accounts receivable.
- Foster a high-performance culture focused on continuous improvement, accountability, and customer service.
- Build and develop a “best in class” team to ensure client reporting is up to standard and KPIs are met
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) for internal and external stakeholders and clients.
- Ensure client accounts are prepared in line with client deadlines to meet KPIs, as well as statutory deadlines
- Act as a primary finance contact for internal departments and external clients regarding contract performance and reporting on all accounting and income related issues.
- Collaborate with operational teams to ensure financial alignment with service delivery.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant housing regulations, financial governance standards, and internal controls.
- Keep abreast of changes in housing legislation and accounting policies.
- Support internal and external audits related to client accounts and income collection.
Key requirements:
- Qualified Accountant (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
- Strong understanding of housing finance, income collection, and arrears management.
- Proven leadership experience in a finance role within the housing, property or public sectors, ideally with knowledge of social housing governance frameworks and regulatory requirements.
- Up-to-date knowledge of housing regulations and financial reporting standards.
- Experience in preparing, analysing, and implementing accounting and reporting requirements.
- Ability to business partner and communicate with non-finance stakeholders effectively and articulately.
- Ability to influence stakeholders, manage conflict and recognise when situations require escalation.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines under pressure.
