Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. This role involves providing high-quality support to individuals in care homes and home care settings, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. The successful candidate will play a vital part in delivering personalised care plans and fostering positive relationships with clients. Responsibilities:
Assisting clients with daily activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility
Supporting the implementation of individualised care plans tailored to each client’s needs
Providing companionship and emotional support to clients in care homes or during home visits
Administering medication as directed by healthcare professionals (training provided)
Maintaining accurate records of care provided and any changes in client condition
Communicating effectively with clients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure continuity of care
Driving between different care locations as required (must have valid driving licence)
Ensuring a safe and clean environment for all clients by adhering to health and safety protocols.
Requirements:
Valid driving licence and willingness to travel between care settings or clients’ homes
Experience working within a care home or home care environment is desirable but not essential; training will be provided
Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing
Good IT skills for maintaining accurate records and updating care plans
Strong communication skills to build rapport with clients, families, and colleagues
Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to support vulnerable individuals
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
